Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a professional and experienced housekeeper cook to join a respectful and welcoming family residing in a beautiful two-storey, four-bedroom property in the countryside near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Cheltenham is one of the most desirable areas of the Cotswolds region, renowned for its elegant architecture, scenic countryside surroundings, excellent restaurants, and charming market-town atmosphere. The principals are a family with two teenage children, both of whom study away from home, meaning the property is often quiet and well-organised.

The family is seeking a responsible, trustworthy, and proactive Housekeeper Cook who takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and preparing healthy home-style meals. Working as a professional Housekeeper Cook within this household will involve maintaining the smooth running of the family home while ensuring the property remains immaculate, organised, and welcoming at all times.

Duties will include detailed housekeeping, laundry care, ironing, and cooking healthy lunches and suppers for the family. The principals are looking for a candidate who enjoys cooking nutritious meals and who can confidently work independently while managing household routines and errands efficiently. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• General cleaning and maintaining the property to a consistently high standard.
• Laundry care, ironing, folding, and wardrobe organisation.
• Preparing healthy and nutritious lunches and suppers for the family.
• Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organisation.
• Running household errands and assisting with household organisation.
• Monitoring household supplies and ensuring the home remains well stocked and organised.
• Managing day-to-day household duties independently and pro-actively.
• Ensuring the property remains tidy and welcoming while the family is travelling or away from home.

Requirements

Education

• No formal education required

Experience

• Three or more years of private housekeeper cook experience.
• Two excellent checkable references.

Skills and Attributes

• Conversational English.
• UK working permit.
• Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Language

• English

Work Schedule

• Five days a week, 40 hours per week.

Benefits

• Competitive salary of £38,000 to £42,000 gross per year.
