About the Opportunity

Skills Provision is recruiting Associate Dentists for multiple permanent positions across Scotland on behalf of a rapidly growing dental group on track to become the largest in Scotland. Positions are available across several locations including Glasgow, Dundee, Highlands, Fife, Argyll and Bute, and Dumfries.

Visa sponsorship is available for suitable international candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine patients’ teeth and gums and diagnose oral health issues
• Carry out X-rays and interpret results
• Provide dental treatment and develop patient health plans
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Prescribe medication where appropriate
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and professional working environment
• Restorative and cosmetic dentistry work may be required
• Specialists in particular fields are also encouraged to apply

Requirements

• A valid dentistry degree
• Currently registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) or willing to register
• Professional English language proficiency — international applicants must meet the minimum standard set by the Home Office
• Ability to work full-time or part-time
• Willingness to undergo health checks as required by the employer
• Open to NHS training where relevant

The employer can consider applicants from the following categories:

• EU dental associate with a GDC number (studies completed within the EU, any nationality)
• EU dental associate without GDC registration (studies completed within the EU, any nationality)
• Worldwide dental associate with GDC registration and prior UK work experience
• Worldwide dental associate with GDC registration requiring one year of VTE mentoring
