Nigerian startups raised $11.3 million across nine companies in September 2026, according to Nairametrics. That is a steep fall from August, when startups raised $364.1 million.

Monthly totals can hide what actually happened. One large round can lift a month, while a month with many small rounds can look weak. The list below shows the September rounds that were reported.

The September rounds

  • Nomba raised $3 million in debt from CardinalStone Finance.
  • Drive45 secured a $3 million debt facility from TLG Capital.
  • ChipMango raised $1.9 million in seed funding from a group of investors, including Atlantica Ventures, DFS Lab, Madica and Kaleo Ventures.
  • Madica also invested $200,000 in ChipMango in a separate round.
  • Aeon raised $1 million from Terra Industries.
  • Ororo Waste raised $1 million from Rising Tide Africa.
  • Noma Services raised $700,000 in debt from SEFAA.
  • Trade Lenda and AirSmat each raised $200,000 from Village Capital.
  • Pewbeam raised $100,000 from Resilience17.

What the wider picture shows

Nairametrics also reported that Nigerian startups raised $635 million in the first nine months of 2026. A single large deal can change the total, so judge startup funding over several months rather than one.

How to check a funding story

Before you share a round, look for the company’s own announcement or a statement from the investor. Amounts and dates sometimes change once a company confirms them.

A single large round can change an entire month, so the trend over several months tells you more than one headline.
