Several Nigerian companies run graduate trainee programmes every year, including PwC Nigeria, PremiumTrust Bank, Dangote Refinery, Access Bank and Schneider Electric. Most ask for a completed NYSC certificate, a minimum class of degree and a clear application window. Several 2026 windows have already closed, so check each company’s official careers page before you apply. CMA9ja updates this list as new programmes open.
Graduate programmes move quickly, and many candidates miss them by a few days. Setting a reminder for each deadline is one of the simplest things you can do this week.
Programmes that ran in 2026
- PwC Nigeria Graduate Trainee 2026 asked for a completed NYSC, a minimum 2:2 degree, and five O’level credits including English and Mathematics. Applications closed on 14 April 2026.
- PremiumTrust Bank Graduate Trainee 2026 asked for a minimum 2:1 degree, NYSC completion, no prior work experience and an age of 24 or under. Applications closed on 24 June 2026.
- Dangote Refinery Graduate Trainee 2026 accepted named degrees and HND holders, with a minimum 2:2 degree or upper credit HND, and an age of 28 or under by 31 May 2026. The deadline was not confirmed in our sources.
- Access Bank Entry Level Training 2026 asked for any discipline with a 2:2 degree, NYSC completion, a laptop and internet access. Candidates could apply for one track only. The deadline was not stated in our sources.
- Schneider Electric 2027 Graduate Programme is a 24 month Lagos based programme starting in February 2027. It asks for a 2:1 degree in engineering, computing, statistics, HR or psychology, and it is open to the Class of 2026 or those graduating within six months. Applications are open until the places are filled.
How to apply properly
- Find the programme on the company’s official careers page, not a repost on a social media group.
- Check every requirement, including your class of degree, NYSC status and age limit.
- Prepare a one page CV that matches the role’s keywords and shows your results.
- Gather your certificates, NYSC discharge certificate and transcript in digital form.
- Apply before the deadline, and keep a screenshot of your confirmation.
- Send one polite follow up if you do not hear back within the stated period.
Recruitment scams to avoid
Jobberman’s safe job hunting guidance warns that scammers often:
- Create false urgency to push you to apply quickly.
- Ask for upfront fees for certification, background checks or set up.
- Request your bank details, card number or PIN.
- Offer a share of money you are asked to move for them.
- Send interview invitations from addresses that do not match the company’s official domain.
A legitimate employer will not ask you to pay to get a job. If something feels wrong, check the company’s official website before you reply.
Build your profile before the next round
Companies look for evidence of skills, not only grades. Use your final year to build a portfolio, complete a short certification or take an internship. Our guide on how to make money online as a student in Nigeria shows how to turn a skill into paid work while you build your record.
The strongest candidates are rarely the ones with the most applications, but the ones who match each role closely and apply before the deadline.
Track every programme you find, set reminders for each deadline and apply to the ones that fit your degree. If you spot an error in this list, contact us and we will update it.
