Airtel Nigeria revises its data and call prices from time to time, and the change is not always easy to spot. Checking the current tariff before you buy helps you avoid paying more than you expect.
TechEconomy reported on 17 February 2025 that Airtel raised several bundle prices. A 1.2GB bundle moved from ₦1,000 to a 2GB bundle at ₦1,500, a 3GB bundle moved from ₦1,500 to 4GB at ₦2,500, and an 18GB bundle moved from ₦5,000 to 25GB at ₦8,000. Call charges also changed from ₦11 per minute to a flat 25 kobo per second.
Check the current price in the app
Use the official Airtel Nigeria app or website to see the current amount. A bundle you bought before may now cost a different amount or come with a different size.
Compare size against price
Work out the naira cost for each gigabyte. A larger bundle can still cost more per unit of data, so compare before you buy.
Read the validity period
Check how many days the bundle lasts. A cheaper bundle that expires quickly may cost you more over a month.
A bigger bundle is not always a better deal, so compare the data size against the naira amount.
