The Lester B Pearson International Student Scholarships 2027 cover tuition, books, incidental fees and full residence for four years at the University of Toronto.
This is one of Canada’s most prestigious undergraduate awards for international students. About 37 scholars are named each year.
Only your high school can nominate you. You cannot apply on your own.
Benefits
Winners receive full tuition coverage for the normal four year duration of a first undergraduate degree.
Books and incidental fees are included. Full residence support is also covered.
The award is renewable each year based on good academic progress. It is tenable only at the University of Toronto.
Eligibility
You must be an international student who needs a Canadian study permit. You must be in your final year of senior secondary school in 2026/2027 or have graduated no earlier than June 2026.
You must begin studies at the University of Toronto in September 2027. Students already in post secondary study or starting in January 2027 are not eligible.
Your school must nominate you. Each school can nominate only one student.
How to Apply
Ask your school to nominate you by 9 October 2026. Schools joining the programme for the first time must apply by noon EST that day.
Apply for undergraduate admission to at least one programme at the University of Toronto by 16 October 2026. You can list up to three areas but the scholarship, if awarded, is tied to your top choice at decision time.
