The Türkiye Bursları Scholarship 2027 is the Turkish government’s fully funded award for international students. It covers full tuition, a monthly stipend, free accommodation, health insurance, a return flight and one year of Turkish language training.

This is open to bachelor’s, master’s and PhD students from every country except Türkiye. You apply once online and can list up to 12 programme preferences.

• Monthly stipend: 6,500 TL (bachelor’s), 9,500 TL (master’s), 13,000 TL (PhD)
• Free student accommodation or housing support
• Health insurance for the full scholarship period
• One-way flight to Türkiye and return flight at the end
• One year of TÖMER Turkish language course if needed

Eligibility

You must not be a Turkish citizen or former Turkish citizen. Age limits are under 21 for bachelor’s, under 30 for master’s and under 35 for PhD. Minimum grades are 70% for undergraduate and 75% for graduate levels (90% for medicine, dentistry and pharmacy).

You must graduate before August of the application year or be in your final year. Students already enrolled at the same level in a Turkish university cannot apply.

Application Deadline

The official calendar runs from 10 January to 20 February each year. The 2027 window is expected to open on 10 January 2027 and close on 20 February 2027. Exact dates will be confirmed by YTB on the official site.

How To Apply

Create an account on the TBBS portal at turkiyeburslari.gov.tr. Complete the online form, upload documents and select your preferred programmes. Submit before the deadline. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed between April and June.
