About the Role

Q-Line Trucking Ltd is seeking experienced and reliable Company Drivers for cross-border open deck operations between Canada and the United States. This role involves hauling a variety of flatbed and specialized freight, requiring strong knowledge of load securement and cross-border procedures. Drivers can expect consistent miles, regular travel into the U.S., and a high level of communication with dispatch to ensure safe, on-time deliveries. Please note that LMIA support and immigration sponsorship are not available for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate super-b combination units to transport and deliver loads to customers
  • Perform trip inspections on equipment to ensure safety and roadworthiness
  • Maintain daily logs, trip sheets, inspection sheets, and all required paperwork
  • Comply with all provincial, state, and federal laws including hours of service and occupational health and safety regulations
  • Communicate daily with dispatch regarding load details, safety concerns, and scheduling
  • Ensure proper cleaning of hopper trailers to prevent cross contamination
  • Operate anhydrous ammonia trailers following company training and regulatory requirements
  • Operate super-b liquid tankers and safely handle hoses with product
  • Maintain a clean driving record by following proper safety precautions
  • Monitor and maintain reasonable fuel economy
  • Maintain a clean and tidy interior and exterior of tractor and trailer
  • Climb into hopper trailers for cleaning purposes as required
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of long-haul or cross-border driving experience (preferred)

Licence/Certification

  • Valid Class 1A or Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • Air Brake Endorsement
  • Tanker and Flatbed experience an asset
