Personal Driver Job in Lagos (Magodo)

About the Role

The Personal Driver will be responsible for safely and punctually transporting the assigned principal to meetings, appointments, business engagements, site visits, airports, events, and other official or personal destinations. The role requires flexibility, professionalism, and a proactive attitude toward vehicle maintenance and travel readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport the principal to all assigned destinations, ensuring punctual pick-up and drop-off at all times
• Plan efficient routes and maintain a smooth, comfortable driving experience
• Remain available for flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional out-of-Lagos travel
• Assist with loading and unloading luggage, work materials, or personal belongings when required
• Maintain readiness for urgent or last-minute travel requests
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections covering engine oil, brake systems, tyres, fuel levels, lights, battery, and cooling systems
• Keep the vehicle clean, polished, and in roadworthy condition at all times
• Promptly report mechanical faults, damages, or servicing requirements
• Ensure vehicle licences, insurance, permits, and all documentation remain valid and up to date
• Keep accurate records of fuel purchases, toll fees, maintenance expenses, and service schedules
• Assist with delivery or collection of confidential documents and packages when assigned
• Ensure emergency and safety equipment are always available inside the vehicle
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous attitude at all times

Requirements

• Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE); additional vocational or driving-related certifications are an advantage
• Valid Nigerian Driver’s Licence
• Must reside around Magodo, Lagos
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years proven driving experience in a corporate environment
• Good knowledge of Lagos roads and major routes within Nigeria
• Familiarity with road safety regulations and traffic laws
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance
• Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations
