Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across key stages in line with the academy’s curriculum vision
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and development within the PE department
  • Support and enhance the teaching practice of colleagues as part of a collaborative team
  • Work closely with Lead Practitioners and a strong Senior Leadership Team to drive standards
  • Inspire students to develop confidence, physical literacy, and a lifelong love of activity
  • Contribute to the wider life of the academy through extracurricular PE activities and events

Requirements

Essential

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Ability to teach Physical Education across multiple key stages
  • A dynamic, ambitious approach to teaching with a commitment to high standards
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children

Additional Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS criminal record check required
  • Online searches will be carried out in line with KCSIE update 2025
