Shelling Machine Operator, Mowe-Ibafo Ogun State, N120,000 – N150,000/month

A reputable cashew processing company with production facilities across Nigeria is looking to fill this role right away. If you have hands-on experience running shelling or similar industrial machines and you can work onsite in Mowe-Ibafo, this position is open for you.

About the Role

This is a full-time, onsite production role in a cashew manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for operating shelling machines, maintaining output quality, and ensuring daily production targets are met within all required safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate shelling machines by loading raw cashew nuts and monitoring the shelling process
• Adjust machine settings including speed, pressure, and blade gaps based on nut size to minimise kernel breakage
• Conduct quality inspections on shelled kernels to identify breakage, shell residue, or other defects
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues, clear jams, and perform routine cleaning; escalate major faults to the maintenance team
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE including gloves, goggles, and ear protection
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining low kernel breakage rates
• Maintain accurate records of machine runtime, production output, downtime, and maintenance activities

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience operating shelling machines or similar production equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to monitor and adjust machine settings for efficient production
• Strong attention to quality and detail
• Basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance skills
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards
• Must be willing to work in Mowe-Ibafo, Ogun State
