General Labourer Job in Leamington, ON | $17.60 – $18.34 per Hour

About the Role

1. Leaming-Edge Organics is looking for motivated General Labourers to join their team in Leamington, ON. This is a physically demanding role working in greenhouse crop production and packing. No education or prior experience is required as full training will be provided. The position starts immediately with no end date as the company operates all year round producing and packing crops.

Key Responsibilities

• Vegetable propagation; planting and harvesting crops
• Crop maintenance including winding, clipping, hooking, and de-leafing
• Clean and sanitise greenhouses, equipment, and tools
• Sort, pack, and stack produce
• Product preparation for market including box making, tagging, stacking, and wrapping
• Check all products for quality assurance, noting any disease or pest pressures
• Clean all work areas and perform other farm duties as assigned

Skills and Attributes

• Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time
• Comfortable working under hot and humid greenhouse conditions and at heights
• Physically fit and able to handle a demanding work environment
• Must be located in or willing to work in Leamington, ON

• Minimum 35 hours per week
• Expected hours: 35 – 70 per week
