Popular Nollywood actor Ray Emodi has officially stepped away from acting, choosing to put all his energy into his music career.

The actor made this known in a candid Instagram post, responding to fans who have been wondering why he has been missing from movie screens lately.

Looking back on his journey in the film industry, Ray revealed that some acting jobs came with serious risks. He recalled shooting in locations where gunshots could be heard nearby, describing the experience as unsettling and unsafe.

According to him, the decision to quit acting wasn’t easy and didn’t come without personal consequences.

Ray explained that his family does not fully support the path he has chosen, mainly because of their values and concern for their family name.

Out of respect for them, he said he decided to step away from anything that could bring unwanted attention or controversy.
