CMA9ja is a platform built for expression, engagement, and earning. We want every user to feel safe, respected, and empowered to participate. This content policy defines what is acceptable on our platform and what is not.

All users, creators, and business owners are expected to read and comply with this policy. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination, depending on severity.

2. Content We Welcome

CMA9ja encourages content that is

  • Relevant to business, entrepreneurship, culture, entertainment, and everyday life
  • Engaging in a respectful and constructive way
  • Reflective of diverse voices, experiences, and perspectives
  • Designed to build community, spark conversation, or provide value to others

We especially support Nigerian creators and entrepreneurs sharing stories, opinions, reviews, business updates, and community content.

3. Prohibited Content

The following types of content are strictly prohibited on CMA9ja:

3.1 Illegal Content

  • Content that violates Nigerian law or the laws of the user's jurisdiction
  • Content promoting, facilitating, or glorifying criminal activity
  • Content involving the exploitation of minors in any form
  • Unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material

3.2 Harmful and Dangerous Content

  • Content that encourages or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide
  • Content promoting the use of illegal drugs or dangerous substances
  • Content that incites violence against individuals or groups
  • Graphic or disturbing imagery without legitimate editorial purpose

3.3 Hate Speech and Discrimination

  • Content that attacks or demeans individuals or groups based on ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
  • Content that promotes or glorifies hate groups or extremist ideologies
  • Content designed to humiliate or intimidate a specific person or community

3.4 Misinformation and Deception

  • Deliberately false information that could cause public harm, including health misinformation
  • Fabricated news or misleading content presented as fact
  • Impersonation of public figures, brands, or other users
  • Content designed to manipulate platform features or deceive other users

3.5 Spam and Manipulation

  • Repetitive, mass-posted, or low-quality content created solely to game the monetization system
  • Use of bots, fake accounts, or coordinated behavior to artificially inflate engagement
  • Unsolicited promotional content sent to users without their consent
  • Posting identical or near-identical content across multiple posts or accounts

3.6 Privacy Violations

  • Sharing another person's private information without their consent (doxxing)
  • Recording or distributing intimate images of another person without their permission
  • Content that deliberately exposes private details to cause harm or embarrassment

3.7 Sexual and Adult Content

  • Sexually explicit or pornographic content
  • Content that sexualizes minors in any way
  • Suggestive content involving real or implied non-consent

3.8 Harassment and Bullying

  • Repeated targeted abuse directed at a specific user
  • Content designed to intimidate, shame, or cause emotional harm to another person
  • Coordinated campaigns to harass or silence a user

4. Sensitive Content

Some content does not violate this policy outright but requires careful handling. This includes:

  • Graphic news imagery shared in a journalistic or documentary context
  • Discussions of politically sensitive or controversial topics
  • Religious commentary that is critical but not hateful
  • Mature themes in creative writing or satire

Such content may be age-restricted, placed behind a content warning, or reviewed on a case-by-case basis by our moderation team.

5. Business Content Standards

Businesses using CMA9ja's listing and service tools must ensure that:

  • All business information is accurate and up-to-date
  • Services advertised are real, legal, and deliverable.
  • Promotional content is truthful and not misleading.
  • Reviews and ratings are not manipulated through fake accounts or incentives.

CMA9ja is not responsible for the quality, safety, or fulfillment of services listed by businesses on the platform. Users transact with businesses at their own discretion.

6. Monetization Eligibility

Content that violates this policy is not eligible for monetization. Creators who are found to have earned revenue from prohibited or manipulated content will have those earnings withheld or reversed.

To remain eligible for payouts, your content must:

  • Comply fully with this Content Policy and our Terms of Service.
  • Generate genuine, organic engagement
  • Not be based on deceptive or artificial activity

7. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content that you believe violates this policy, you can report it directly through the platform using the report button available on every post and profile.

Our moderation team reviews reports and takes action based on the severity and context of the violation. We aim to respond to critical reports within 24 hours.

8. Enforcement Actions

Depending on the nature and frequency of violations, CMA9ja may take the following actions:

  • Remove the specific piece of content
  • Issue a formal warning to the account
  • Temporarily restrict posting or earning privileges
  • Suspend the account for a defined period
  • Permanently ban the account and forfeit outstanding earnings

Severe violations, such as those involving child exploitation, threats of violence, or large-scale fraud, will result in immediate permanent termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.

If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned in error, you may submit an appeal within 14 days by contacting us at

10. Policy Updates

This Content Policy may be updated to reflect changes in law, user behavior, or platform capabilities. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform. Continued use of CMA9ja after a policy update indicates your agreement with the revised terms.
