About the Role
Hannett Hale Recruitment is seeking an experienced KS2 Teacher for a full-time temporary position at a vibrant inner-city primary school in Preston. The role runs from September 2026 until Easter 2027 and offers the chance to work in a diverse, energetic environment with a high proportion of EAL and SEN pupils. The school provides strong leadership, collaborative team support, and a full-time teaching assistant in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for a KS2 class, delivering engaging and high-quality teaching.
- Lead planning, preparation, and assessment activities.
- Work closely with and support the full-time teaching assistant in the classroom.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of EAL learners and pupils with SEN.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
Requirements
Education
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience
- Recent experience teaching in a KS2 classroom.
Skills and Attributes
- Confidence supporting pupils with EAL and SEN.
- Strong classroom management and a proactive, flexible approach.
- Ability to take on the full responsibilities of a class teacher.
- Genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and progress.
Language
- Fluent English.
Licence/Certification
- Enhanced DBS check required.
Work Schedule
- Full-time temporary role from September 2026 to Easter 2027.
- Term time only, 8.30am–3.30pm.
